Property Description

Please contact vanessa66@tiscali.co.uk or 01797214168 for availability

The property has a 4 bedrooms;- one double, with a patio door leading directly into the garden;  and  3 singles. There is the possibility of an extra person. The large garden has plenty of room for children to play, with  garden furniture to relax and a barbeque..

The kitchen is well equipped with double oven, microwave, fridge, washing machin and dishwasher.. The large, comfortable lounge has 2 settees, a television and 2 double doors leading onto a decking area and down into the garden. Next door there are some friendly goats that dont mind an apple from time to time. There are chickens on the property, that are in a dog/fence proof run and need very little looking after and they may even supply you with fresh eggs everyday.  If you really dont want them they can be taken on holiday for a while.  There is also a wood burning stove which is especially welcome after a brisk  walk on the beach in the colder months. The dining room leads off from the lounge and seats 6 comfortably. Off road parking for 2 cars. If you are looking for somewhere to take the family or friends and let the children let off steam this is the place for you! If you are looking for a villa with gold taps, night life and luxury shopping this is not for you.  I have tried to make it as homely as possible, and have left  just about everything you would have at home - there are even cake tins in case the weather is bad so the kids can bake you a cake!  Just across the road are a small but adequate Coop supermarket with everything you need, post office, hairdresser, pub and about 2 minutes away is the Ship Inn which  is a pub/restaurant serving excellent local food.. A fish and chip van comes every Friday and at weekend the delicious Red Pig ( https://www.facebook.com/theredpigrye) is found along the road.   Right outside is a bus service that can also take you to both the ancient towns of Rye and Hastings. Hastings has lots of attractions for children and young people  - cinema, shopping, amusements, crazy golf whereas Rye is far quieter and is better for catching up with the local history of smuggling or a delicious cream tea in its many tea rooms.  A rather lovely cinema has just opened in Rye.   There are several Indian and Chinese restaurants which will deliver to “Shanty”. Winchelsea is worth a visit and if you can join a tour of the many cellars it is very interesting. The beach is minutes away with many delightful walks all around.  These include to Camber Castle, the marshes, the woods, Rye Harbour bird reserve and along the Royal Military Canal.   Your dog will love his holiday. The property is best suited to people who enjoy the outdoors and want to investigate the surrounding area.
